This passed weekend Jacob and I attended the Breeders’ Cup in Lexington. For those unfamiliar with horses it is considered the World Championships and serves as the culminating point for horse racing. It was extra special this year because it was in my home state of Kentucky and American Pharoah was running his last race before retirement, where he was vowing to fans he would win the Grand Slam. As with all big days in horses racing, there is great celebration and festivities, and along with that, great fashions. Being in Kentucky in late October, it was chilly, so I styled my looks around great coats and fabulous boots. Here I am wearing a long sleeve Clover Canyon dress (available on Rent the Runway), Tahari Ruffle Coat (one of my new favorites), suede over the knee boots, a snake skin clutch and a fascinator that I designed myself (will be in the hat shop soon!!). The entire look was a little more edgy than what I would normally wear, but I had so much fun wearing it throughout the day. The neoprene material was PERRRRFECT for keeping warm and the bell sleeves and fit and flare body made for a great shape.
