This past week began with a snow storm and ended with an ice storm. School ended up being cancelled all week for me because of the horrible road conditions and the absolutely freezing temperatures (we saw a 5 degree high one day). Needless to say, I want spring! I styled this warm enough for winter, but bright enough for spring look to take my mind off the dreary clouds and the white turned black snow that is literally everywhere.
The shearling vest is a favorite of mine! It is so warm and super cute with jeans, dresses, skirts and the like. I love it paired with creams, as it really makes the beautiful tan color pop, so I used that as the foundation for building this look. To add variation, I selected an array of materials including cotton, fur, lace and leather. All in all, the combination created a chic, winter causal look, while being different from many of the typical winter “go to’s.”
